The RetURN.org ID is a durable QR identification label designed for urns and other containers holding cremated remains. Each label has its own unique RetURN.org ID, giving families a simple way to connect the physical urn with information about the person and their wishes.

After registering the ID, anyone who scans the QR code can access the information the family has chosen to make available. The printed ID number also provides a human-readable way to identify the record if the QR code cannot be scanned.

How it works

1. Register your RetURN.org ID. Use the unique code included with your label.
2. Add the information you want to share. Record identifying information, wishes, and other details you want connected to the remains.
3. Apply the label. Place the RetURN.org ID on the urn or container.
4. Scan when needed. The QR code provides a direct way to access the information connected with that ID.

Each RetURN.org ID includes

• One unique RetURN.org QR identification label
• A human-readable ID number
• Access to register and manage the ID online
• The ability to update the information associated with the ID
