The RetURN.org ID is a durable QR identification label designed for urns and other containers holding cremated remains. Each label has its own unique RetURN.org ID, giving families a simple way to connect the physical urn with information about the person and their wishes.

After you activate the ID, anyone who scans the QR code can see the information you've chosen to make available. The printed ID number also provides a human-readable way to find the record if the QR code can't be scanned.

How it works

1. Activate the RetURN.org ID. Activation is included. Scan the QR code on the activation sheet, or visit RetURN.org/activate and enter the ID and activation code.
2. Add their information. Record who the person was and any wishes you know. You can update the record later.
3. Attach the label. Affix the RetURN.org ID label to the urn or container.
4. Scan when needed. The QR code opens the information connected with that ID.

Each RetURN.org ID includes

• One unique RetURN.org QR identification label, 2″ × ¾″, in anodized aluminum
• An activation sheet with the ID's activation code
• Activation, and access to manage the ID online
• The ability to update the information connected to the ID

The image is sealed beneath the anodized surface rather than printed on top, so it can't scuff or fade off, and the adhesive bonds to metal, ceramic, wood or a curved surface and cures firmly within 48 hours.
