What Is The CLEAR Kit?
The CLEAR Kit helps bring order to information and decisions most people wish they had organized sooner.
What's Inside
Which CLEAR Kit is right for you?
Have Questions?
Below are answers to the most common questions we receive. You can also explore the full CLEAR Kit FAQ for more detail.
Is the CLEAR Kit right for me?
The CLEAR Kit is especially helpful if any of the following are true:
- You're married or partnered and want shared information in one clear place
- You have adult children who may need to step in someday
- You own property, financial accounts, or digital assets
- You're named as someone’s executor or expect to serve in that role
- You want to make things easier for the people who would help if something happened
If you see yourself in even one of these situations, the CLEAR Kit is designed to bring clarity, reduce confusion, and make information usable when it matters most.
Do I have to complete every section?
No. The CLEAR Kit is designed to be comprehensive so you are not missing something important, but it is not designed to be completed all at once. Start with the sections that create immediate direction, like key contacts, where documents are kept, and your Executor’s Summary Report. Complete what applies now. The rest stays organized and ready for later.
What is the difference between CLEAR Kit Essentials and CLEAR Kit Expanded?
CLEAR Kit Essentials is a streamlined one-binder version designed to help you organize the essentials in a simpler format. CLEAR Kit Expanded is the full three-binder system for households that want a more comprehensive estate and end-of-life organization solution.
Both versions help you organize important information, identify gaps, and leave clearer direction for the people who may need to step in.
Choose Essentials if you want the essential categories most families need first, including legal documents, medical wishes, financial accounts, digital access, housing, vehicles, and core personal information.
Choose Expanded if you want the full system with added space for family details, medical history, obituary planning, pets, valuables, debts, business interests, taxes, and more.
You do not need to use every section right away. The value is having the right information organized and available when it matters.
Can I upgrade from Essentials to Expanded?
Yes. Many people prefer to start with CLEAR Kit Essentials and expand later. If you decide you want the full three-binder system, you can upgrade to CLEAR Kit Expanded. The cost to do so is $99. Contact us to initiate the process.
Should I order a one adult or two adult CLEAR Kit?
Choose the one adult version if you are organizing information for yourself only. This version includes everything you need to build your personal system.
Choose the two adult version if you share finances, a household, or long term planning with a partner or spouse. It provides space and worksheets for each person, along with shared sections for property, accounts, and final wishes. The structure helps both adults stay aligned and keeps everything in one place for the people who may need it later.
What is the difference between “Printed + Digital” and “Print at Home + Digital”?
CLEAR Kit Lite is available in both Printed + Digital and Print at Home + Digital formats.
CLEAR Kit Deluxe is available only in Printed + Digital.
Printed + Digital includes the physical CLEAR Kit with worksheets already printed and organized, plus the digital files on the included USB drive.
Print at Home + Digital is available for CLEAR Kit Lite only. It includes the physical binder, tabs, and section introduction pages, but the worksheets themselves are provided digitally so you can print only what you want, when you want.
We do not offer a print-at-home version of CLEAR Kit Deluxe because the full Deluxe system includes too many pages to make home printing practical for most households.
Is there an online version of the CLEAR Kit?
No. The CLEAR Kit is not offered as an online only product.
The CLEAR Kit is designed as a physical estate and end of life organization system. The binders, tabs, and guided sections are intentional so important information can be accessed quickly without relying on logins, passwords, internet access, or third party platforms.
For those who prefer not to handwrite responses, the included USB drive contains the complete digital worksheet library. Worksheets can be completed electronically, saved, or printed as needed.
Keeping the system physical also reduces security risks associated with online only platforms, such as data breaches, account lockouts, forgotten credentials, or service changes.
The CLEAR Kit combines a structured physical system with offline digital flexibility, designed for clarity, continuity, and security when it matters most.
What support is available if I need help?
You are not expected to figure everything out on your own.
The CLEAR Kit includes guided sections written in plain language that explain what information matters and why. Each section is designed to help you move forward step by step, even if you have never handled estate or end of life planning before.
If you have questions, you can email support@buriedinwork.com or use the Contact Us form and a real person will respond. Support is available to help you understand how the system works, how to use the materials, and where to find additional resources.
For those who want more hands on assistance, a concierge version of the CLEAR Kit is available. This option provides personalized guidance to help you complete and organize your information correctly and confidently.
The goal of the CLEAR Kit is clarity, not perfection. Support is there to help you keep moving forward at your own pace.
Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee?
Yes. You may return your CLEAR Kit within 30 days of delivery for a refund of the product price.
To be eligible, the complete CLEAR Kit must be returned in good condition. Customers are responsible for return shipping, and a $10 return processing fee will be deducted from the refund. If Buried in Work covered the original shipping cost, that amount will also be deducted.
Because every CLEAR Kit includes digital files, requesting a refund means you agree to delete any digital copies provided with the kit.
