Is there a guarantee?
Yes. You may return your CLEAR Kit within 30 days of delivery of receipt for a refund of the product price.
The complete CLEAR Kit must be returned in good condition and the customer is responsible for return shipping. If Buried in Work paid for shipping on the original order, that cost will be deducted from the refund.
Your CLEAR Kit includes access to the CLEAR Kit Resource Center. Returns are available if fewer than five sections have been downloaded from it, and requesting a refund means you agree to delete any copies you have saved or printed.
What support is available if I need help?
You are not expected to figure everything out on your own.

How do we handle jointly owned accounts and property?
Each adult’s kit holds that person’s own information. For anything held jointly, you choose where the detail lives.
Individual IRAs. Recorded in the owner’s own kit.
A joint brokerage account. Record the full account information in one person’s kit, and note in the other person’s kit that the details are maintained in their spouse’s or partner’s CLEAR Kit. If you would rather have it in both places, complete the worksheet in both.
A jointly owned home. Same idea. Keep the detailed property information in one kit and cross-reference it from the other, or include it in both.
The Using Two CLEAR Kits sheet included with every two adult kit exists for exactly this. It lists every guided section, with a check box for the sections where the other kit holds information you may need, and an N/A marker on the sections that are always specific to one person.
There is no single right answer. Some couples want joint information in both kits so each one is completely self-contained. Others prefer to maintain it once so there is only one place to update. Either approach works, as long as it is clear where the information can be found.
Do we have to enter joint information twice?
No. The interactive worksheets are fillable PDFs that you download, so you only ever type the information once.
For a shared asset, you can download the worksheet from either person’s CLEAR Kit Resource Center, complete it once, save the finished PDF, keep an identical copy in each person’s own digital files, and print a copy for each physical CLEAR Kit.
Can I print the worksheets at home?
Every CLEAR Kit arrives professionally printed and assembled, with the worksheets already organized behind the right tabs, so you can open the box and start writing.
Your kit also includes the online CLEAR Kit Resource Center, with print optimized and fillable PDF copies of every worksheet. Print replacement pages or extra record sheets at home whenever you need them, or fill them in on a computer. Your access code is printed on the cover sheet inside your binder.
A separate print-at-home kit is no longer offered.
Can I start with one adult and add another later?
Yes. The CLEAR Kit is designed to grow with you.
Starting with one adult allows you to begin organizing without overcommitting. If your situation changes, adding another adult later keeps the system consistent and familiar, rather than starting over with something new.

Essentials is $199 for one adult and $339 for two. Expanded is $299 for one adult and $449 for two. Every one is professionally printed and assembled, and includes a fire and water resistant storage case and the key organizer.
You can also build your own from $140. That figure is the floor: one adult, the 22 Essentials sections, printed and assembled, with no storage case. Equipped the same way, a build costs the same as the packaged kit. There is no subscription with any option.
Can I buy only part of a CLEAR Kit?
Yes. Build Your Own CLEAR Kit lets you choose the number of adults, Essentials or Expanded coverage, whether you want a storage case, and which extras to include. The running total updates as you choose, so you see the price of your exact kit before anything goes in the cart. It takes about two minutes.
What if we are organizing for more than two adults?
Every CLEAR Kit, including Build Your Own, is sold in one-adult and two-adult configurations. For three or more adults, or for organizations, get in touch and we will put a quote together. Each adult still receives their own separate, complete system.

Can I upload a completed worksheet back into the CLEAR Kit Resource Center?
No, and that is intentional. We do not store the information you enter into the downloadable worksheets.
Once a worksheet is downloaded, the completed file stays with you and can be kept wherever you choose, such as your computer, an encrypted drive, or your preferred cloud storage.

Does each adult get their own CLEAR Kit Resource Center?
